Went Carping Monday - 04/15/18 05:27 PM
On Granbury lake next to the On the Rocks bar and marina. No signs up about fishing except off the docks. Didn't have any bait with me so I soaked some tortilla chips in Dr. Pepper til I made a ball just like you do Wheaties and Big Red. Lost a big one but caught several more around ten pounds, caught some catfish too. There were two kinds of carp, the common and the one with bigger irregular scales. Threw em all back, didn't feel like doing my part for carp management that day.
No photos? That one with the irregular scales is a mirror carp, they're pretty rare here in Texas. I've yet to catch one myself! Great job!

Lake Arlington has a pretty fair population of mirror carp. I was catching them about 1 out of every 8 to 10 commons.

I saw several Mirror carp, I crushed the tortilla chips and threw them in the water,as they floated carp and several catfish were all over them and were easy to see clearly.
