Personal best bass

Personal best bass - 04/02/16 08:56 PM

Need help guessing the weight of these two bass, both caught bank fishing with light tackle, fantastic fight. First bass was 23 1/2" and I'm guessing 7lbs. This was already my new personal best bass.

And as if it wasn't already a great day, I hook this monster that took a good 5 minutes to reel in with my 6lb test line. Measured 25 inches and I'm guessing 9lbs

Here is a picture of a tape measure next to my pole (this is how I measure fish when I don't have anything)

All in all, the best day fishing in my life, only downside is that I forgot my go pro at home. Oh well.

Hard to tell on the weight, I always guess to light anyway. Both very nice fish, from the bank?

Great job on the PB! I am going to say 7lbs on the first and roughly 8.5lbs on the second. Those are just best guesses, and if I was you I would stick with 9lbs!!

the 25 inch bass normally would weigh 10 or over.. but not real fat... still would call it 8.5.. once in a lifetime fish to catch one 25" and the other one looked 7 to 7.5lbs...

Great looking fish! I feel your pain in the since that it's hard to master the fishing selfie. Sometimes it pays to have someone with you. Almost impossible to show just how big a fish is when you have to selfie it.

Good fish. Next time uses smaller references and it's your word against thiers. You can say they weigh anything you want. Just saying.

Who cares, weight wise. What counts is you had a blast catching some mighty fine fish in anyone's book, and they gave your arms and tackle a helluva workout! Congrats on the PB! Nobody, and i mean nobody, would turn their nose up at catching some like that!!!!

Good job, and keep haulin' em in!
