Awesome Catch!!!
I tried the creeks for sunfish this weekend but the water was too muddy. It looks muddy in the bayou you are fishing as well. Do you catch any big sunfish in there?

Pic 1 and 2 are 100% blues, 3 could be a channel but looks like a blue as well.
Either way they are great catches and nice job!!

why can't you eat fish from there?
Truth be told - you might be able to eat them. But C'mon man! This is inner city Houston. There are cars, shopping carts, etc. in Buffalo Bayou. Parts of it are nice and its being cleaned up but until then, I'd not take any chances. Serious environmental guidance needs to come to me before I place it ahead of Lake Houston, Lake Conroe, etc.

Lived in Houston for the first 29 and a half years of my life and never fished Buffalo Bayou. Mainly because I didn't find a place suitable enough to go fishing.

Well mainly because the water quality is bad high mercury content plus everyone throws debris in it.
