Lots of baby turtles

The storms last weekend flooded the pond in the neighbor and sent baby Red Ear Sliders down the ditches. Caught 9 fresh hatchlings and a slightly larger guy.

Was going to keep some one time but read this.

They are not easy to care of, not great for handling, and in addition they often do harbor Salmonella bacteria which can be passed to the children.

Im well informed. I have had an extensive amount of reptiles/amphibians ranging from Snapping turtles, Soft shells, Red Eared Sliders and Mud Turtles. As well as several dozen species of snakes, Salamanders and lizards.

i have had some, they were pretty fun, until they get bigger. I liked to release minnows in the tank, they went crazy, like mutual of omaha wild kingdom crazy.
