Longnose Gar. - 12th Lake Granbury Fly Fishing Waterbody Record

It took me several weeks, but I finally landed a Lake Granbury longnose gar on my fly rod. It will be my 12th waterbody record on different species in the lake. There is a great deal of fish diversity in Texas and many waterbody records are available. Go out and get one for yourself.

is that the same trusty fly rod?

I carry 3 fly rods that I do 99% of my freshwater fishing with. Two have floating fly line and one with sinking fly line. Two are vintage Browning fly rods, and one is a vintage Wright McGill rod. All are 6/7 weight rods. The reels are all freedom fly reels. I paid $0.99 for them on EBay about 20 years ago. I am very hard on my equipment, but the reels are still going.
