They eat those in south Louisiana.
I wonder how long you would survive eating them from Buffalo Bayou.

I've only had one encounter with a bowfin and I was fishing Lake Fork. Saw it under a dock and that sucker came out of the water about 3 feet twice before coming off. My spinner bait was trash after that fight.

These guys are nuts been running into more of them this year then previous years which is fine with me cause once they start pulling its fanstastic the strength they have
