Unlimited crappie and catfish in marina.....monthly charge!

Here's the deal- Lewisville Lake

Pay a monthly fee and get unlimited access (24hrs a day 7 days a week) to a fully brushed, treed, green underwater LIGHTS crappie condo slip! That's right crappie in the slip and catfish at the end of dock. Slip will have a fridge, chairs, fans, sink with fresh water and the most beautiful cleaning station you have ever laid eyes on! Locking rod boxes and deck boxes for storage. Keep your gear at the slip. Pay by the month or get a super deal -and pay for the entire year up front. You will get an access card for marina and have full use the of the facilities. (bathroom and showers) We will have bait buckets and fish baskets. Slip will be around 50'. 25' of dock with holes cut and 25' of open water. The slip will have it's own "members only Facebook page" and all payments will be made online. Working out the final details with marina in the morning. This will launch on 11/1.

How much???? All depends on what the yearly slip fee will be....waiting on marina. I'm guessing around $40 to $60 a month

If you were to call the marina and inquire about a wet slip and mention that you want to use it for fishing. Their response would be "we do not rent slips out for fishing."

I have a 10yr relationship with the marina and the fellas in our current slip have been out there for over 20 years with ZERO problems. That speaks volume when it comes to needing things. Our compliance record is stellar. So when I inquired about the new slip, my answer was. "let me get you a price." The dock that I am currently on is away from all the life styles of the rich and famous boaters so for us it's perfect. Plus we are in 30' of water. Let me know when your on water and stop by...clean your catch at my place.

If I may add.....

My thought process behind why the local marinas do not allow fishing slips is because we (fisher people) are walking around the marina fishing behind $100,000 boats that do not belong to us. Dragging around a bunch of gear and it's kinda "unsightly." I would think the marina would be also worried about the mess. Who knows....
I once called the marina in Frisco (hidden cove) a few years ago to keep my boat in the water. They were telling me how their marina was the only "country club" on the lake and they frowned at fishing, even in your own slip. No need to tell you how that worked out.

We're clean and super respectful. Makes a huge difference.

That is what happened to the marina next to us @ Juniper Cove at Whitney . Before the floods and tornados tore it up they had a in door fishing at the marina . Lots of us rented slips and baited them out with know problems . Then the owner just flat out closed the fishing inside the marina , said that fisherman were lake trash . Has big plans now to turn it into another Sneaky Petes . He went up $50.00 on each slip , now charges $15.00 just to use his boat ramp . Have the time we rented ours we had know water , or electric. about 8 of us wanted to know when we were going to get it . His answer - If you don't like it , get the hell out . So we did ! moved our boats to Harbor Master and love it there.

Yeah marschall it's unfortunate that "fisher people" have a bad reputation in general at marinas. Sorry to hear it but looks like you made out ok in the long run.

That's how we make the slip fishable but clean to the naked eye..

Please update info, as it's no longer a monthly payment, but all up front.

As of yesterday we are not taking any more members in the slip. We're going to bait it out, take some photos, get some current members to hit the forum with bragging pics and then price accordingly. I believe the current price is not set accordingly to the amenities offered.

$480-$720 a year seems high imo. Can't you rent a slip for yourself in that price range? If you get 20 people to sign up youre looking at $14,000 to fish one slip? lmao

This is a 50ft Slip. It is not a $14,000.00 but close. I also thought $600.00 was high. But working on it now. I am glad i am in. We drop a good amount of cover in it on Saturday and plan on dropping more soon.

That's funny.....it does smell fishy out there. If your screen name is an indication of your location, why don't you come out and fish with us. I'm open any day, any time. No pressure to join....just enjoy the smell!

Thanks for the offer, but I already fish a good set of slips at 121 for half that cost. I got lucky. Good luck on getting those slabs out there!
