Sadly, I haven't fished since July, but went to Weatherford today. I caught 10 in 6-8 feet of water. The lake is starting to turn over as well. I bet this week's cold front flips it. Air temp this morning was 58 and water was 74.

Brush piles. I'm sure there are some around the crappie house. I brushed it up back in July

Crappie house isn’t on fire. Last night wasn’t even a dink fest. They were really shallow and the ones that bit were small. In 7 hours I caught about 15 dinks. It looked like I was the only one catching

Crazy. I figured they would have been biting better than that in there!

Been exchanging emails with the Biologist from TPWD that does the surveys at Weatherford. Last year, the survey reported the HIGHEST in the state!! but the bad part is that 65% was below the 10" limit. He said that he is very confident that they will be moving in within the next two weeks, and that 80% of the 65% that was below 10" will be well over 10".

Just thought I would share the info. Whether its true or not...we shall see
