Bardwell 9-18-2017

Got a little later start Monday. On the water at 9:15am and off at 3:00pm. Started at the bridge as the wind was not to bad. Caught 8 keepers and a couple of short ones. The wind died completely and I moved over to the west side, to a laydown that has been good in the past. Nada. Moved on down toward the dam and finished my limit on 3 different brush piles. The last pile being one MilesHunter gave me a heads up on. Thanks Miles. Thought I'd fish a little more so I went over to the water intake by Love Ramp. Caught 3 good keepers there, but turned them loose as I didn't want to try and cull any. Same old same old on jigs. 1/16th oz. unpainted with Whatzit plastic in Cajun Crickit color. Bridge fish were about one crank off the bottom. Brush was 10'-16'. Water temp. still around 76 degrees.
Great day to be on the water, but sure got hot when the wind died.

Did you run over that crappie on the bottom left?!?! That ones a stud! I'm glad those piles are still producing.
