Lake Clark 6-18-2017 - 06/19/17 12:44 AM
Got out for about 4 hrs today. My wife had to work, so I went fishing! Got on the water about 9:00am and quit at 1:00pm. To darn hot to stay any longer. Caught 16 crappie and one ditch pickle. The first 4 were in about 10' of water at 8-9'. Hit it on the fall. Line just went slack. Moved on toward the dam to about 14' of water. They hit it on the fall and if you weren't watching you wouldn't know they had it. The bigger ones just stopped the fall, the smaller ones took off with it. Used a variety of jig heads and the most productive was 1/16th oz. unpainted. Most were caught on Rag-n-Cajun Crawl'r. This bait has worked well both times I've fished Clark. The 2 biggest were both 15.25" long and 1lb. 11oz. and 1lb. 10oz.
It was a wonderful Fathers Day!
