Guide Report Friday March 17th

I had Travis and George out today on a crappie trip. The crappie bit like crazy again today but the keepers were extremely hard to come by. The white bass also got in the way in many spots. Threw about 16 big whites in the livewell to make sure they had some fish to take home. Boated a few hundred crappie but only 5 of those were over 10". The future of Grapevine crappie fishing looks really good. That lake is packed with 9 3/4" fish right now. All the bigger crappie came on jigs and at different depths. The small crappie love minnows right now. Could have loaded the boat with white bass if they wanted to chase them.
