So how long do we have to keep all crappie caught this time of the year? And is that every lake in Texas?

Only certain lakes and it goes through Feb I believe. Fork is one of the lakes I know for sure this applies to.

The no minimum length limit applies to Lake O the Pines and Fork from Dec 1 to last day in Feb. Must keep the first 25 fish caught; not supposed to throw fish back.
Only two lakes having the special winter regulation.

Lake O Pines Crappie
For black and white crappie caught from DEC. 1 through the last day of FEB., there is no minimum length limit and all crappie caught must be retained. From March through November, minimum length is 10 inches. Year-round daily bag limit is 25 crappie in any combination http://tpwd.texas.gov/fishboat/fish/action/fishregs2.php?water=0428
