if you frequent JP Lake. I thought I would head out there this morning and considerd doing some under the South Bridge fishing.I wanted to see how much a 5mph ssw wind would effect my tube so I Pulled up onto the median, opend my driver side door, and HOLY GHOST!! I almost steped on this bad boy! Fortunately for me, & Unfortunately for him, someone had made him dead. I aint sayin I`m just saying watch out where you put your foot down at the JOE!

There have been 3 rattlers killed on Britton end in last two weeks. I killed one on FM 661 bridge that was little over 3 ft. Other two my neighbors killed both over 5 ft. Early summer we killed 3 on 661. Mid summer I had a 4 1/2 ft. on my property that bit my Jack Russell of 14 years. She didnt make it. Last two years there have been plenty of rattlers on the South end.

There has always been a bunch of rattlers and copperheads in the Joe Pool area. Back when I was a kid we hunted a lot of that area and would see who could get the most buttons each year.

Cedar Hill was once home to the world record rattler. I have only ran across a rattler once while fishing and that was at creek running out of Lewisville. I poked him with my rod tip to get him to rattle.
