Texoma Boat Slip Crappie advice

I have a buddy who has a boat slip on Texoma and has asked about advice on crappie jigs that may work well for him.

Does anyone familiar with Texoma have any tips to offer? Their slip is about 26 FOW when lake is at normal.

Do slips on Texoma hold crappie well? I told him he needs to put some structure there if he can.

Texoma slips do hold crappie very good. If he hasn't brushed it out then that is the most important thing to do. As far as jigs go, Pumpkin/chart has always been good for that lake.

Wonder who figured that out. LOL

Black and white skunk jigs are also very good on that lake. 26ft is pretty deep imo.

Lol! We have had some good days with those colors. That is true about the depth. Be sure to suspend the brush about 15 ft.

Until recently I have had a slip on Texoma for 25 years. Some years better than others but I've always had crappie in my freezer. Brush is the most important factor. In 26 fow I would definitely suspend a lot of brush 15' range and when you think you have too much brush put in some more. I'm going to assume you are on the eastern side of the lake and I've always been at Big Mineral. I've caught fish on a myriad of colors and types. Brown and orange, white and chartreuse, blue and chartreuse, and pink and white have always produced.
