It was a Tadpole kind of day! - 06/06/16 01:54 AM
Happy Birthday Todd Box! I picked Todd up at his place at 7:00 AM and took him to breakfast. After some mighty fine vittles, we headed to Lake X and launched. We were on the water and catching crappie at 8:30! Man what a day! Every brushpile we marked and fished produced! The mini Tadpole ruled the day! Black Emerald shiner produced the most fish. Second place, but big fish, went to the Silver Flash Chartreuse mini tadpole!(I had big fish, by the way, since Belinda didn't go!) We easily caught a two man limit and proceeded to keep catching, counting and releasing fish! We stopped at 75, decided we had a pretty decent day! Took our 50 back to Todd's where I and Belinda cleaned the fish for Todd (I mean, it was his birthday after all!). The good Lord only gives us so many days like these, and I have been blessed to have three this year! One with my father, one with my youngest son, and one with a great friend on his birthday! It just doesn't get any better! All three of these days have one thing for sure in common, Thermocline Lures mini Tadpole! (Well, and some great people and the Lord's blessing!)
