What effect does all this have,..??

Like I mentioned before me and the boss are trying our skills at more crappie fishing this year.
We have been doing pretty good beating a few brushpiles here and there on Fork.
My question is what effect will all this rain and rising lake have on the fishing?
Do we need to change tactics,..LOL. We been drowning minnows and trying jigs so far..

i think alot of them may go into the flooded water, flooded timber, and brush, where they are hard to find and hard to get to. also they seem to be scattered. Benbrook is up around 8ft. most timber is underwater and the lake may be twice as large. you would think the new water is covering new and more food for the bait fish. and the crappie go were the bait fish are. then they move out to the deeper water where they feel safer. sound good. trying to figure them out myself. haven't had much luck when Benbrook is flooded. all the ramps are probably closed. i would think you could launch from the marina.

Crappie do not like current and or water fluctuation. In these conditions you can still find fish willing to bite. Will it be harder "yes".
Be patient and grind it out. I would focus on standing timber and keep moving looking for something that appears different.

Continue fishing Fork as you would. It is only up a little bit. Fork's watershed is minimal compared to many reservoirs. This is why the rain doesn't have as much impact. That's the good news but during hot days without any rain, Fork will fall more rapidly because of evaporation. It much more dependent on rain touching the lake than drainage during hot times.

Fork at pool is 403. Since Feb 2016 the lowest was 402.26 on 2/14; the highest 404.38 on 3/09. Currently it is 403.41.

So I would fish the seasonal pattern normally at this time.
