From SMALL to SMALLER

From SMALL to SMALLER - 05/07/16 02:05 AM

This afternoons instructional trip was very active in terms of bites (114 crappie in 4 hours) but only 9 keepers. We must have caught 30 fish that were no more than 3"-4" long. Biggest fish might have made 11".

I'm certainly ready for the big mama's to show up again.

Beautiful day with little wind so I guess I should't complain.

All fish were on brushpiles in 14'-15' water on any jig you wanted to use.

I will be out of action for a few days, need to pull my boat to have impeller replaced.

Going tomorrow with Guy.

Today was a repeat except windier. Approx 40 caught with 5 keepers, three keepers were over 1.5#. That's progress.

Tomorrow it's the office for me. Tired of the wind.

Same story for me today on Amon G Carter. Caught 22 with four keepers. Many 5-6 inch fish.

If the fish ever grow up on LL it will be a great fishery. Some big girls are being caught on the other end of the lake....

Very tough today timing shooting docks between waves. Caught around 25 but only 7 were keepers. Best was a 16" fish with a bloody tail.

By the title of this post I assumed you were talking about Joe Pool crappie!

Minner Bucket...I believe Mr Paty is referring to his local lake. Lake Lewisville.

Sounds like Mr Paty took a page out of my fishing annals!

He gets more than his share of barndoors, so not to worry

Boat slip today. A bit better, Guy and I each caught over 25 with a few keepers including one big Mama, close to 2#.

Built a couple of new condo's and hung them.

Ernest, do you go to other lakes or just LL?

I'd like a guide that gets on my boat, uses my electronics on my lake.

txfour,
I have heard if you feed Mr. Paty some snacks he will also catch a limit for you. He's getting old and you probably have to help him in and out of the boat. helpsign
