CC 5-5-16 Quantity-Yea -- Quality, Welllllll - 05/06/16 12:33 AM

We hit Cedar Creek this morning; beautiful morning with light wind. Started in Caney Creek and fished our way almost to Twin Creek. Action was steady but not great. Almost every BP had something to offer. Far too many dinks. Kept 22 and caught about 50 dinks. Best action came on the Black Emerald Shiner and Texas Toast Slab Bandit. Wind unexpectedly kicked up about 1 and we headed to the trailer about 2. Good day on the water.

Correction: we fished almost to Twin Creek. That's why I can't find fish, I can't remember where I'm at. hmmm

If you don't mind me asking how deep were you fishing. Are these your brush piles or on a map. Thanks for the info.

These are all BPs that I've found during trips to CC or someone told me about. We fished BPs from 8-20 FOW. Most fish holding close to the BP. Used several techniques to get bites. Jig on the bottom, lift slowly stop about 15" up and thump. Raise jig slowly about 4 ft then let fall very slowly and watch line. Never felt some of the fish, line just went slack. There's a few small twitches in there also. Had to work at it to get bites. Holding the jig still didn't produce anything.

Very nice! That was my experience on Tuesday. The docks were loaded with 5-8 inch fish.

I spent a good part of the day fishing pilings on the Log Cabin bridge. Was that you in the red Skeeter? I was in the Tracker Magna 17.

Ken I came up to y'all and chatted at the ramp. We ended with our two man limit but it was very tough and a lot of the docks we caught fish on before weren't holding anymore. Most docks that had fish were in at least 10' of water. It's nice to put a face to the forum name.

We were in a red/white BassCat. We didn't fish the bridge except when we came back to 198 ramp. Spent about 10 minutes there.

JoSkeeter: I don't remember talking to anyone when we came in. And there was only one guy at the ramp when we launched at 6:15 and he was working on a motor that wouldn't start. We were at the 198 public ramp.

No you're right. I talked to a guy in a red skeeter at the ramp and I saw the red boat in the pic.
