Good day Saturday - 04/26/16 04:11 PM
We had one of those days you dream about. Two of us fished Murvaul and limited out easily. Fish were STACKED on two brush piles about 50 yds apart in 12 ft of water. 50 keepers mostly on 1/16 oz jigs and electric chicken Bobby Garland baby shads. They were down just off bottom and were aggressive. We caught several big ones but I had the 16 1/4" fish that I wish I had weighed on certified scales, it was a toad.
I had fished with another buddy on Friday on Lake Cherokee and kept 25 fish over 11" and threw back a bunch. Fish were from 16-22 fow on brush on the same jigs. It's a good time to be crappie fishing right now.
