Lady Lavon

Haven't fished my home lake in months due to weather, drought, floods, drawdowns and tournaments...
She welcomed me home this morning with a 2.6lb crappie. Fun stuff.











Caught her using a relatively new color, purple passion in Mr. Fry.

We mostly jungle fished buck brush today.
Due to the lake being crazy high or low, haven't done that in years.
Felt good to be home.

Great fish. Only been on Lavon a couple of times. Fished it with Wally a couple yrs back and was really impressed with the quality.

We had 16 or so in the morning, couldn't get a bunch out (as usual). Then I had to go to work.
Carter went out in the afternoon again and picked up some more.

That'll be over for a while with this heavy rain, flood, drawdown cycle that is coming. That's why I wanted to get our there even if it was only for a morning.

Partner and I put 27 in the box Saturday morning in about 2.5 hours, jungle fishing extreme! Had one toad over 2lbs and and a couple more just under. Most were males, so there's still time for the spawn. But yes, all that's out the window now with all this rain, just when it was getting good. . .

Watched a guy pullin them in on the Far East side of the 380 bridges yesterday around 5pm wading along the bank!

You should try the purple passion fade! I've had stellar results with it, more so than regular purple passion.

That's what I'm talking about!!!...I make a motion that you bring ceviche to this year's get together...just saying.
