Going to Lake Limestone this weekend

Going to Lake Limestone this weekend - 03/30/16 06:43 PM

Hi All,

Myself and a couple of guys from work are camping on Lake Limestone this weekend. I will be taking my boat up there and was wondering if anyone could give me some pointers on where to catch some crappie there. Does minnows work best? Or artificial? Not looking for anybody's place just some areas to try. Would like to come back with some fish smile

Thanks in advance!

Hmmm, did you obtain a lake pass from DW Moore? If not, that would be my first step...my second step would be to ask him the same question you posed here.

Haha! I am glad DW Moore found me because no I have not talked to him smile.

Yea, we are going for catfish and crappie. Will be our there midday Friday and fish Friday evening/night and then pretty much all day Saturday. Never been to this lake so I will have to explore a little smile. Are their a lot of underwater stumps or anything I should worry about or all they all pretty much close to the banks and things. I fish Lake Granger a lot and there are stumps everywhere.

Thanks guys!

No there's not one dam stump in that lake ... there are however alot of 20' tall trees that stick about 1 foot out of the water though.

Ok, thanks. I will stick to running on the main part of the lake and be extra cautious everywhere else. I was told to fish around the bridge on the north part of the lake. I guess the northern part is where we will stay most of the time. We will be staying at lake limestone campground and marina.
