If you HAD to go tomorrow...what lake? - 03/11/16 12:11 AM
So... I'm off tomorrow, and I'm determined to go fishing...somewhere.
Most of the lakes seem to be still rising a bit, but I don't care. I'm gonna be stubborn. I'm thinking I'll take my chances looking for the shallow bite.
So let's assume you are me. What lake would you go to? I live near RC and could go anywhere inside a couple hours drive. CC, Fork, Pal, Twok, etc.
Let's here some suggestions...

Slab Express...Just posted some East Texas Lakes info and pics in the Whites/Hybrid section. We called off all our trips this Week and Adam and I are going to get out and scout some on RC on Saturday. I don't have much hope about finding anything except Catfish, but you never know.
There were a few Crappie caught in the Fisherman's Point Marina Coves on RC before the rains came, but today it was so muddy with a brisk North Wind that no one was fishing.
You're a much better Crappie fishermen than me so I bet you find some somewhere!
Good Luck!

Docks at CC are going to be impossible to shoot with the lake a foot high but that's where I would go. Or how about you go and let me know how you do since I'm headed there next weekend. LOL

I'd go to Palestine and look for a usable boat ramp!!! Then let me know where it is!!

Probably not any usable ramps at Palestine. 4.77ft high and water up to the porch at Palestine Resort and Marina. Villages might be usable but I doubt it.
