Will the Rain delay spawning - 03/10/16 03:14 PM
Here in N. Tx we have had T-storms and rain all week and the lakes are somewhat full does anyone think it will ruin the crappie spawn?

Nope. Just makes it a little tougher on the fishermen. The spawn will go on.

I had a tough time on Lake Placid on Tuesday. Couldn't find them shallow and the only fish I caught in 16 FOW. Caught a largemouth shallow, though, on a crappie jig. Gonna give it a try again next week between the rains.

Yes current throws a big curve ball on the spawn but if there is no current and water Temps maintain it will not stop them from doing there thing. Bet sandbags go nutz in the current though.

Speaking of current, water was coming out of McQueeney into Placid and that made for some current up past the 78 bridge!
