Who Ever Said The Wind is your Friend

Surely wasn't fishing today.

My buddy Randy from Indiana drove 15 hours for his annual spring time Texas Crappie fix. His son Tyler joined us also, despite the tough conditions and a half day trip we ended up with a cooler full.

Water temp 60.
Water was muddy.
3 to 4 feet deep.
Green Thump Buddy. (I don't know what it's called)
Windy, windy.

Hopefully the weather will give us a break and we can try again. Good times with good friends.

BFOTD, female was a 2.31, several males that were 2.00 +.

Nuthin like watching that cork go under but I'd rather feel the thump on a brushpile!

Yeah, he's been lucky getting on some pigs when he comes down to Gods country. Last summer despite the 103 degrees temp and the lethargic summer bite, he was able to finesse a few good ones. He's spoiled for sure.



As far as the Honey Hole, the fish are on the move and you just got to be lucky right now to find the right area with the right conditions when a massive wave moves up. It's location is changing daily.

I HATE those fish!!!!!!!!!!! You have to cut the fillets in 3s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
