TNT Tackle - Tim White - 02/28/16 01:20 PM
I know Tim's no stranger to the TFF and CAT members that have been around a while but for the newer members and especially the new jig artists asking about supplies, I wanted to make a post and share my experience with TNT Tackle. I reckon I've known Tim going on 4 years and can't say enough positive about him.
All of the heads I use for my customer jigs currently come from Tim. Of the 7,000 heads I've purchased, I've literally only found THREE hooks of lesser quality ... With other vendors I was throwing away up to 10% of the heads I bought! As for the lackluster quality and filing of flaws on heads - that's a thing of the past for me. I'm paying 3¢ more per head to buy from Tim but do not have to file any of my heads (saving money in the long run). I've had less than a half dozen with spurs or lead leaks from the mold:
I ain't just whistlin' Dixie, here.... these heads are as close to perfect as one can purchase.
If I don't stop getting trashy hackle elsewhere, we'll soon be splitting 100% of the hackle I buy as well, at least until I start buying my own directly from the manufacturer. The saltwater hackle is 10x the quality I've been buying:
Not only has Tim helped me with bulk supplies and quality material, but he walked me through what needed to be done to start acquiring bulk supplies on my own (from the manufacturers he buys from), essentially cutting himself out of the profit. I'm not sure why people don't more openly help others starting out in the jig business, but there's a LOT that needs to be known (637 Federal Excise Tax, for example) and NOBODY talks about this stuff openly?
.... Moving forward, he's schooled me with the business side of things and helped me develop practices for commercial production that are GAME CHANGERS for the way I tie large orders. I cannot say enough positive about this man or thank him properly; he's spent more time on the phone with me trying to teach me and save me money than I would have ever dreamed. Above and beyond, there's no words to describe my appreciation for the time and money he's saved me, not to mention the quality products.
I also know Tim doesn't read these boards often but didn't know any other way to give my support and show appreciation.
Thanks a lot Tim (if you ever read this). I thank God Matthew pointed me your direction years ago.....
God Bless you, sir.... you've sure blessed me and my jig business!
