What's This? - 02/16/16 04:14 PM

Was checking some creeks in my yak yesterday and playing with my Elite-5hdi.
Trying to fine tune it which, I suck at.
Can you tell me if this is a school of some sort or just trash?

It could be the aliens invading, because I heard they were hiding in that creek.

Trust me, they're gar. The size of the white lines give them away. I have fished a lot of creeks in the late winter and spring and seen this same thing. The gar will bunch up in a particular part of the creek and chow down on shad (or anything else that might come along). The next time you're there and see this, have a 12" piece of nylon rope tied to one of your rods that has been untwisted. Throw that out and start reeling it in. The gar will hit it and get their teeth tangled in the rope. Of course, you will have to remove them from that mess OMG
