Lake leon?

Lake leon? - 01/22/16 09:25 PM

Anyone know how the lake level is? I haven't been to fish in a couple of years due to the drought. I haven't heard any reports, I know what that usually means. Message me if you would.

Thanks,
Scooter

That is a shame, that can be such a great spot to fish in the winter under normal conditions.

Fish are up the river or by the dam, with the shad. That is really two years in a row for this to occur there. Was fair to good in late fall and then after Xmas the fish moved. It is my hope that they increase the cover there or things will not really change in the future. There are also a few people that seem to think they need to remove the brush so they do not get hung. Not good. If you are going to put brush in there do not put any near the middle walk, because some one with a grapple hook is going to remove it.

Removing Brush from a Crappie-Dock?
That's not right. Pure ignorance right there.

Leon is muddy and water temp is 51. snuck out of the house for two hours today to go look around and the water is muddy and the wind was howling. Any ideas on a depth range people have been getting bit on out there or at lake mineral wells?

also thanks 79scooter! hopefully I can get him some fish sent home come Friday.
