Help on Granbury Crappie

Help on Granbury Crappie - 01/10/16 05:41 AM

Hey all... New to TFF and was wondering if anyone could help me locate Granbury crappie throughout the fall/winter. Catch them during Spring/Summer with some numbers but its been pretty lean this time of year. Every crappie holding structure seems to have a sand bass on it and while they are entertaining, they still don't taste quite as good as crappie do.

I went for four hours last week and hit a lot of spots and never got a bite.

I've had a harder time finding them since water levels came back to normal...and before that the fish kills from the Golden Alge hurt in 2011/2012. From what I have seen most fish species have come back close to normal, but the crappie seem to be still sparse. I used to be able to catch them good in my canal starting early to mid Feb deadsticking jigs or minnows right on canal walls. Any info from others would be helpfull.
