And came out with a limit! Fun fun stuff, fishing 2.5' deep. Hot color was blue/chart. They were sinking the bobber as soon as it hit the water lol. Caught so many fish it was crazy.. Until next time!

THE REAL CRAPPIE SEASON, IN FULL EFFECT! This is why to me, this is a better time to crappie fish than the spawn. They get in a spot(creek), they stay in a spot! In spring, they move in and out with the fronts! Too much work! Creek crappie in winter is easy pickins'. Minimal amount of gear needed, Good, fresh air walks through the woods, may see a bobcat, feral hog, deer, coyote or fox cruising around. No boat or fancy name brand gear needed.

This is really my first year crappie fishing. I have not had much experience with fishing up in creeks.

I have gone 4 times in the past 2 weeks with little to show.

Any tips on areas of creeks to fish, I have looked on google maps for dams, and some big curves and have tried the ones I can see but still not having much luck.

What are some of the things you look for when creek fishing to know if fish are around? I am on the bank as well, big boat wont fit and I don't have a kayak.

This may be a dumb question but ill ask anyway. Would the same creeks I catch fish in the spring hold fish in the winter? What is it I am looking for? Steep banks, hard bottom or what?
