That Dam Frog Caught 14.61 Pounds, 7 Fish. Edit. - 12/18/15 01:11 AM

Constant Pursuit Outfitters and Thermocline Lures are undoubtably the best lure manufacturers in the State of Texas and produce quality baits that will quality catch fish.

Thank you, Belinda and Lane.

Sky's clear.
Water temp, 59.
Depth 30 feet.
That YELLA Frog.
Fished sticks and stumps.

I want to say the fishing was tough and only caught 9 fish, but got lucky and caught a few good ones.

Anyways a few pics.

New PB.

Edit, I didn't hit TARE before I added the fish in the pan. Oops, well I still had fun.
Should have weighed 14.61.

101.

David I am still learning what I am seeing. I can tell you when you see a fish just push your rod tip toward the blip and WHAM.
In 30 foot of water and being a foot off in one direction or the other makes the difference in getting one caught.
You can see the fish swimming around and moving locations, kinda crazy.
Haven't played with in shallow water, but can only dream how effective it will be.

Thanks for your prompt delivery.

Every couple of weeks, starting back in February, I would get a text with a random number. 33, 48, 61... I challenged Kirk to catch 100 two pound fish in a year when the numbers started getting in the sixties, knowing that he would be the person to do it if anyone could. Challenge made, challenge accepted, challenge accomplished. Congrats brother, I am truly impressed that you were able to pull this off. I'm not surprised, but I am highly impressed. You've realistically caught and landed more two pounders in one year than most crappie fishermen will see in a life time. Well done sir, very well done.

Thanks Lane you were a big part of as well as Ken Gaby.

Last winter I was calling Ken (mentor) and we were discussing the big fish seen on the graph and that I was only able to catch 1 or 2 per spot. Ken would give me advice and tips and tricks to try next time out, he even made me special jig heads with big hooks for some 5" baits I tried among other things. Bottom line is we determined that big fish were smart, finicky, mostly loners and get big for a reason.

What I have learned when you catch one, figure out why.

Big fish are creatures of habit and once you figure out where and why they live where they live, they will come a board more often.

To catch big fish, just fish for big fish.

Thanks all.

Congratulations on 100+. Makes me envious. I can normally count 2# crappie caught in a year on one hand.
