Just missed it 10-14

by one fish. Put 24 in the cooler today. Fished for 2 hours trying to catch #25 but it was a no go. It was a beautiful day on the water though. The best jigs today were white/chartreuse tail, 1/16 oz. and silver shad with pink jig head. Kept 6 for dinner and made some folks very happy at the ramp. Caught everything on bridge pylons today. Fish were suspended about 8 ft. down. The lake (Martin Creek) looked like it might be turning, which I didn't know if a hot water lake would turn since it has a constant supply of warm water but visibility was only 1 ft., lot of foam and bubbles on the water and the water was just nasty looking. Surprised me the fish were biting so well.

Man, Mike, sure can't wait till I can retire.....Got about 30 more years! It's probably like when my 6 yr old says she can't wait till she is "all grown up"....I always tell her that I sure do wish I could be 6 again...I sure would do a lot of things different...but the things I did is what put me where I am today, and I can't complain. Where is it you usually fish? I wouldn't ming meeting you some weekend, and you can take some of my jigs you didn't grab at Palestine, but I haven't tied in awhile, and I have lost all of the ones I like to fish. Just carpeted my attic and plan on building me a tying bench up there, and to build another rod. Ordered me stuff to build another 9', but haven't started it, yet.

lol, yep it's a bit farther than Lake Palestine. Don't rush the retirement, I'll be here before you know it and you'll have grandkids to take fishin.
