Got to the lake at 11am with the wife. Promised to get her out to feel the thump since it's Labor day weekend. Our original plan was to hit Tawakoni for hybrids and sandies but I had to work that evening so we made a quick trip to Ray Bob. I bought 3 dozen of minnows for backup just in case they get picky on jigs. Fished several COE piles and we stumbled on a structure with underwater logs, trees at 20 fow. It was fully loaded with fish. My graph lit up with popcorn! Spotlocked with I-pilot and drop the minnows and they hit it! We fished with jigs and minnows. Minnows outfished jigs 4 to 1. We caught bunch of small ones and good size ones too. Biggest was 13". Average size fish was 11". We ran out of minnows and played with jigs. The bite was soft or you can see the line slacked while you're dropping it. Wife and I had a blast. Last time we were on this lake was back in November. We ended with 25 crappies and left them biting. I had to rush back home to go to work.
