I've been fishing it and there are some nice fish. I haven't found a huge number of fish but the quality is there. They are holding near the bottom, behind the pillars out of the current. Watch out for the for the school of dinks. I haven't found the good ones around them.

Good to know. Thanks for the tip. Is that ramp open on the west end of the bridge? I can't remember the park name....

Can a pontoon get in over there without getting tore up?

Now that the water is down you won't have a problem. I have seen several passing under the bridge headed to the main lake.

Thanks Desull. I'm not very familiar with the Lavon or the Hazards. Twin Groves would be the closest ramp to me. If I were to put in at Twin Groves and decided to run up to the south end is there a safe side to run on or safe path to take? I seem to remember a lot of stumps between the 380 bridge and the main lake.

There are alot of stumps but so far you only have to worry with the ones you can see. I use my graph to stick to the creek channel or take it easy along the east bank. Once it opens up I give it the gas and havent had a problem.

Sounds good. Ya I've only been on the lake once and it was in a jon boat. We put in at twin groves and never went under the bridge. We were duck hunting that day.

Lavon is only a 30 min drive for me and I'm wanting to get to know it a little and start fishing there more. I've been a boat owner for 30 years and never put one of mine on Lavon. Go figure.

Thanks again for the tips.
