Caught one of these.

Lake McQueeney, first cast with a rocky top, 10 1/2" Rio.


That fish can flat out pull like no other. No crappies yet but, boy is still trying and catching a few of these.

I lived in mcqueeney estates the last year the public ramp was open. any boat access there again yet?

I don't know, 1st time on the lake, helping my daughter move in to her house this weekend. Just fished a little while before we started moving stuff. That lake looks awsome!

Maybe me and boy will sneek off again this evening.

Nice fish. Love those Rios and Warmouth! As for the Crappie try fishing west side of the Treasure Island bridge. Also the pads on the east side. The water was just clearing up this past week. Got some pretty good rain yesterday with a lot more on the way.

Don't listen to Chuck. What would he know about catching Rios?

Chuck we hit the bridge and boy #2 caught a cat.


Boat traffic didn't help us any so we moved to the east side and found some of these.




No crappies yet but met a fellow who showed me a few docks that are lighted, he said they are hot right now.

Thanks for the tips Chuck, when I bring my boat down and find them, we can meet up and go.

My boy is 15 and still loves to fish with me and will put his other interests aside to take a trip. I remember the days when he was that age. Cherish those times...they slip away fast. Gotta get a tissue. Those pics may just bring a tear to my eye!
