Ray Roberts 10/20

Ray Roberts 10/20 - 10/21/23 02:22 AM

Started around 830 slick water and cool temps. Two boats sitting on my first 2 spots. No big deal there are 50 spots near by. Bite was slow at first as the sun got higher the fishing got better. I did pretty good on a white hand tied jig but in the end the chartreuse head and chartreuse Bobby Garland was the winner.
I tried many different colors to see what worked best.

Good day lot of good quality fish. Weather was perfect. Called it @ 4pm left them biting.

I know someone will say this post is worthless without pics. I don't keep em unless I know we are having a fish fry.

Prob between 30-40.

I did give one, I sniped out of a tree early, to the boat just in front of me. They were keeping and it was super fat.

That's Jordan, they have been working on that new marina for a while.

That new marina, located at the Lone Star Lodge Marina, will house around 300 boats, have gas pumps, a convivence store, and consume most of the space at the Jordan Moore ramp. They have cleared very large areas around the ramp for what appears to be future parking as well.

That really stinks!!!!! As a home owner on the lake, by law I can maintain a foot path to the water and that is it. I guess if you have enough money you can buy your way around the rules and mess up a beautiful place with a nasty looking man made marina...

OP great job and beautiful slick day on the water!

I'm not on the lake, but pretty darned close to it. I can see it from my roof. AHAHAHHAAH

That being said, at first I was good with them expanding the marina and only impacting their area around the lodge. When they started clearing the parking lot areas and filling it up with all the docks, etc. I was not pleased.

It use to be such a quite peaceful boat ramp. It wouldn't hurt my feelings any of they r repaired or replaced the docks on TPW side. TPW spends $0 and 0 time at that location. It needs some tlc bad.
