Coleto Kidfish.

Today was the annual Kidfish tournament at Coleto Creek put on by GBRA. I took my bosses middle (7) and oldest (10). By the time they made it to the lake at 9:30 the wind was blowing pretty good and I knew that it was going to pretty hard to stay on the piles with my trolling motor. They managed to catch 13 fish before we had to be in line for the weigh in at noon. The middle child won the largest crappie prize and 3rd place stringer (5 fish any species) in her age division which netted her a combined $50 in Academy gift cards and some hardware. Pretty good birthday weekend for her. Unfortunately, the oldest missed big crappie by mere ounces for the second year in a row and was 4th place stringer.

Way to give back to the kids and the boss, at the same time!

I wish. Told him that if the youngest who will be 5 next year wants to go I'm going to need a bigger boat and the only way I could make that happen was with a raise or a good bonus. He just laughed.
