Also, if you want to stop by and check out Thermocline Lures when you're at Fork, their shop is a little ways past Star Mart just before the 515 bridge. Todd & Belinda are a mom & pop (Grandpa & Grandma! lol) shop and they make soft plastics and live right on the lake. They have a couple of small buildings to pour and sell their baits and also have all sizes of jig heads and other stuff. grin There's a small (4'X8'?) sign next to the trees if you drive slow and look just before that little cove. wink The cove doesn't come across 515 like the map shows.
Give them a call and stop by. They may be on the lake!
Thermocline Lures - Todd Box - 903-588-0129
Stop in and see what they have and what's been working lately. cheers

Good luck out there!

Yep, there's already some Missouri boats in the parking lots out there.
Sure hope the winner is from Texas!
Nothing against Missouri of course... just sayin'! We need a home grown winner. lol

Fish hard! grin

Also, most of you are familiar with Fork, but for any that aren't, there is a saying:
"IF you're not in a boat lane, then idle speed".

There could be timber in 40-50' of water. I have hit some out in the main lake...
When they built fork they left all the timber for fish habitat to make it a trophy bass lake.
(We get the benefit also!) lol

But they did bulldoze boat lanes before they flooded the lake.
You can buy a boat lane chip here to Fork and other lakes. I think it's $20 bucks or so.

There may be other places, that's just the only one I have heard of. It sure makes it easier/faster/safer to get around!!

Good luck out there!

One thing that I may add(if it hasn’t been mentioned) is........ make sure that your fish is LEGAL. Might sound like a gimme.....BUT, it has happened. If a warden was present, the outcomes may have been different. I know NO one on here would ever bring a short fish to the weighin, but just an FYI. Kiddo or not, 10” is 10”. Legal is legal, shot is not. See everyone there! Be safe! AND as mentioned, there is a reason there are so many prop shops around Fork!
