Crappiefest predicition

Crappiefest predicition - 03/16/18 03:20 AM

What will be the winning weight at crappiefest?
If your not planning on fishing come on by and watch the weigh-in. I bet there will also be a couple of opportunities for you to help Crappie Anglers of Texas raise money for the NOCC.

Also, the weather pattern / timing is setting up for some really good fishing!!
Many limits will be caught!
Many 2 pounders will hit the scales!
A good time will be had by all! cool

Where and when is this crappie fest thing happening so I can go in the opposite direction?

It is a full moon. There will be a few monsters weighed in for sure. I can't wait to fish.

Me too, I am hoping to slip over to the Thermocline store, and resupply, before the mad rush of crappiefest hits his stock!

I am honored to report that the guy with the biggest fish will win, hands down!

SK is studying lake fork map

I think this year will be tough. We have got another heavy rain/flood event coming next week and the lake will be high, muddy and the gates will be open by the tourney date.

Someone always gets on them and finds the bite, no matter the weather or water conditions. With the full moon aligning with warm water, I bet we see a few 3lb'ers.

So, will that be a CAT member or not?

Makes sense to be a CAT member for $25.
2 years ago (?), the winner was not and the $1,000 highest finishing CAT member bonus went to second place.
Lots of other benefits too.

Good luck to all!

I'm predicting it will be difficult to find a spot to park my truck and trailer at Lake Fork Tackle for weigh ins.

Re: Crappiefest predicition - 03/26/18 01:57 AM

If they do it like last year the industrial park behind LFT has lots of space plus the grocery store across the street has a big parking lot. They will have parking attendants and I think people giving you rides to the weigh in.

I agree that you will see quite a few 2#+ fish go to the scales....but a 3#er, I'm thinking not so much. Been there, ain't done that.

Re: Crappiefest predicition - 03/26/18 04:10 PM

Greenville Dodge is providing pickups for us to use to shuttle you from your parking spot to the weigh-in and back. We will also be using the old Alco parking lot that is across the street. We've got 5 parking attendants and 4 trucks. Parking should not be a problem. We just ask that everyone be courteous and park where you are told to so we don't have issues with the neighboring businesses. They are being generous and we don't want to take advantage of that.

Personally, I believe there will be at least one 3 pounder caught, if not more. The weather is going to be great and the spawn is still taking place.

We're getting all the last minute details wrapped up and can't wait to see everyone at Lake Fork Trophy Lures for the weigh-in!!

Yes, I always enjoy my time around Todd and Belinda! I like his perspective, and we get into some of the dangest discussions!

Yep, same here...now go find a big fish to weigh in, good luck and good fishing!
