Artificial Trees - 01/12/18 09:59 PM
I know this is a subject that has been covered quite a bit. How, when, where, what time of the year, what type of trees provide the best structure. So this got me to wondering, has anyone every tried using the artificial Christmas trees? If so, can you please provide your feedback. I would think that they might last a good while.

I use them, but I keep the lights turned on, because it attracts the crappie.
Not really. Just kidding.
I have done it. (note: Corps of Engineers will cite you for polluting the lake if you do this in Corps lakes, brush must be bio-degradable)
Can't say they attracted a whole lot of fish, too dense I guess. And the crappie I did catch over my artificial tree brushpile were always tiny.
AND as Waco kid said, jigs will hang up a lot in them. I wont do it again.
