but I went anyway. Had a terrible time finding the crappie this morning. Just picked up one here and there. Could not put any type of pattern together other than the ones I found were in 20fow sitting right on bottom. Got tired of that cold wind about noon and concluded that my wife might be right. Did bring some home for lunch tomorrow and they were nice slabs. Caught a nice ditch pickle and noticed he hadn't finished swallowing a fish before biting my jig. Guess that's why they call them pigs.

What my coveralls are for (what I tell my wife). I may try to sneak out New Years morning if the temps aren't too extreme or the roads icy.

My wife don't even commit anymore, 12/29 on water at daylight and stayed till noon. Kept 15 for the pan and had quite a few throwbacks,fished two spots. I did turn down a trip this morning, I haven't missed too many off days hunting and fishing since November 4.
