Christmastime Crappies in DFW?

I'm vising family in DFW for Christmas this year, and rather than hang around the house all day doing squat, I'd like to get out and catch some fish on 12/23. Any DFW lakes with good bank/dock access that I could drop a jig on? I doubt very seriously my wife will let me hitch up the kayak trailer for this trip, and my in-laws might have a thing or two to say about me finding parking for it, so unless there's some place around that will rent me a boat (or there's a guide with availability), I'll be shore-bound.

North Dallas. Almost to Richardson off LBJ. But I’ll have my car and don’t mind a reasonable drive.
