Port A Restaurant update

Pelican Club is gone!
The Phenix has moved
New to us,Roosevelt's is awesome

Phenix is still in town, ate there during last years fall office trip. Food was good, service was slow.

Roosevelt's is excellent we'll usually visit it twice during our stay.

Lisa Belles is not the same since they moved, I doubt we will go back this year.

La Playa was miserable last fall.

Cancun's "mikes special" with your recent catch is very good.

Unfortunately Marcel's sold, we ate there a week before it closed, was always a great meal no matter what was ordered.

San Juan's breakfast tacos are hard to beat, and most guides will eat'em.

Was not good last time I ate there.

Avery's was real good

Oceans of seafood was good

Update, We just got back from a week stay in Port A

The good:

Crab Inn-(Aransas Pass) VERY GOOD! everything about this place exceeded our expectations!!

Virginia's by the bay- Good, expect a long wait

Oceans of seafood- Always good

The Bad:

Shells- Overpriced, very very small, no concept of seasoning on food whatsoever, no fresh gulf shrimp, DO NOT order any pan grilled fish, came with a thin pancake batter on both sides of the fillet.

Beach & Station St. Grill- WAY OVERPRICED! again very very small, do not I repeat do not order the crab cake appetizer, YOU WILL BE DISAPPOINTED 2" round x 1/2" thick for $10.00. Waitress said the Ponchartrain sauce was loaded with shrimp,craw fish, both mine and my wifes had none just some tomato sauce and Cajun spices.

Trout Street- OVERPRICED! Decent food and staff.


Avery's is not open after 3pm anymore

Phoenix is only open Wens-Sat

Irie's was not open all week we were there

Frankie's Kitchen is almost impossible to get into this time of year

Is Cody's still open? If so it was always very good with reasonable pricing. It is also worth the drive to Snoopy's by the causeway.
