We got between 40 to 52 inches of rain, 9 inches in one hr and I can drive down the street and have my choice of Valero, Citgo, Walmart Gas. Gas Shortage in Dallas, pretty interesting.

I hope we don't have a beer shortage!!!

Re: Looking for gas?? - 08/31/17 08:50 PM

Under the disaster prioritization plan, immediately available fuel is refocused to stations along the evacuation routes and for emergency response staff.

Tankers from other non-effected areas/states are reassigned to maintain an as normal as possible fuel delivery. Some areas of Texas will see stations that are sold out or sell out as the public panics and starts filling gas cans in excess of their actual needs. Panic causes the lack of fuel more so than any real lack of fuel.

I remember when all we had was the Eagles Next (and Country Boy if you counted anything around 380 and 2478 as "Prosper"). 6 gas stations? That's hard to understand.

He is clueless to what happened. The shortage is what caused the panic, not the other way around. My regular station has not been able to get a truck in. He has missed a couple of trucks already

Re: Looking for gas?? - 08/31/17 09:47 PM

Found gas in the Heights on Washington Ave this afternoon. That's just west and north of downtown Houston. I paid $2.29. Same price as pre-Harvey. All (15-20%) open gas stations, that I've seen personally, reflect similar pricing.

Magellan reversing their p/l from DFW to OK, so that the fuel stays where needed most, is going to be huge for DFW.

Re: Looking for gas?? - 08/31/17 10:39 PM

People are worried about gas not being available , but I bet most of them are not going home and parking their cars after filling up. Must not be worried about the next time they need it. Let's fill it up and run it out the same day. LOL !!

Re: Looking for gas?? - 08/31/17 11:34 PM

Time to stop the back slapping by our elected officials. Those that are in petrol and poop water aren't worried if they have gas. Those not under contaminated water shouldn't be panicking. Sad deal. I am just fine and not worried about getting gas when people don't have clean drinking water. Sorry if your holiday plans are interrupted.
