Written up at work.

Written up at work. - 02/24/17 09:15 PM

Had mgt visit vending machines I had.
Said they spent forever making it perfect.
They sent 2 people in 2 weeks later and they said it looked horrible.
What did I do those 2 weeks,nothing.
If mgt made it perfect it should have looked great 2 weeks later.
I had threatened to quit over it.
I think the write up was so if I quit I would not get unemployment.

Re: Written up at work. - 02/24/17 09:37 PM

So you hadn't packed the toys in far enough to make them impossible to pull out with the cranes?

That could certainly be possible or even likely.
The problem is if they want you gone and don't want to have to take the hit on their unemployment rating, they will come up with other things to write you up for and then when they get the prescribed number of those needed per the company policy, will fire you "with cause" in which case, they will dispute your right to receive unemployment when you file. You need to start right now gathering evidence to support your future wrongful termination. Pictures, past history of doing this to other people, witnesses, etc. It's wrong as can be but trust me on this - they can set you up for this and stage it well enough so they will win when it goes through the 3 different appeals and you finally wind up totally screwed with no further recourse and no unemployment.

If I thought this was what was going on, I would start looking for another job really soon.

I have a copy of the write up and the wording is BS so deep you need wings to get above it.
Online shopping is hurting the company.
Mgt is throwing us under the bus so they will not be blamed.

Look, don't take this the wrong way, it is my opinion that if part of your job description is stuff minions or whatever into a crane machine you should be looking for another job anyway.

PS if you quit you cannot get unemployment. Nor can you if you're fired. There are exceptions in both cases but you would have to prove that you were either wrongfully terminated or the conditions were so terrible you had no choice but to quit. It's a long road to hoe either way.

But you're just being silly anyways. You silly goose you.

My brother emptied a stuffed animal crane machine at a Ca trucks top one time.
He took a sack full of the toys around the p!ace and tried to give them to kids.
The parents looked at him like he was crazy. He finally found a Spanish family with
nine kids in the car. He dumped that whole bag of toys in the car. Those kids went
nuts. Made my brother happy just watching the smiles on their faces.

Re: Written up at work. - 02/25/17 01:14 PM

Could make a long story out of thus but won't. I had 2 idiots for bosses once. The only time I ever got written up in my life. They called me a "lone ranger". They were not involved and offered no help for months until something went wrong. Well within 6 months they were gone and I am still there many years later.

I have found out from others in the same boat this is nothing but local management saying its their fault.
They are worried about corporate and are covering their behinds.

When I say their fault, not management, but our fault the little guys.
