Donut phenom - 01/29/17 08:48 AM
They opened a place in Frisco called Hurts Donuts. It is open 24 hours/day and is quite the latest rage. People camped out for the opening and there are lines to get in. A friend told me there was a line at 0400 yesterday. They have a wambulance for deliveries. For you doubters they have a donut with a taste of bacon. Be cool, get some.

Already had the bacon maple donut. It's a $3 donut that should be $4, it's that good.
Not sure it would fit my Whole 30/Paleo diet!!!.........besides, I live in Houston.

Yep. They have a place in Arlington called Crunch Donuts that is pretty hipster, too. I prefer old fashioned donut shops. I have introduced my coworkers to the old fashioned donuts, cake donuts, blueberry donuts, etc. They love 'em.

Not even close....they have some good filled donuts, but other than that, they are overpriced and not as good as other Mom and Pop places. The one on Abram in Arlington does have good customer service, however.

Me and my wife were gonna drive up there as something to do today, but their Facebook page says they can't keep up with demands. They only have 2 types available today and still a 2 hour long line. I'll wait till the hype dies down.

The franchise started in Springfield, Mo. . They project to sell 5000-8000 donuts day. It is somewhat comforting or know you can wake up at 0200 and go get a donut (80 variaties) , a kolache, and a donut milkshake. No charge for the future di a beet us.

Red Oak has a very good donut place on Ovilla Rd in front of the Walmart.
The donuts are not too sweet and are twice the size of a normal donut.
Good burritoes and Cresants.
No 1-4 specials cheaply priced.

It took 4 months before you could I could find a short line for In and Out when they came to Frisco.
I bet this place is pretty crowded in the morning. We had long lines for Krispy Kreme for a couple months
Glazed Donut Works opened in Deep Ellum last year, or maybe the year before. It's got those crazy, ridiculously priced donuts that the kids flock too, and a few adults as well.
None of them look good to me, but I simply like chocolate.
I'd bet that new joint in Frisco will make a few bucks for a while, but who knows, it just might have a long shelf-life.

There is a place just like this in the Colony at Josey and 121. Earnest Donuts. Good, but pricey.

Can't figure out the man bun thing...They think it looks good? NOT!
