I need a translator

- Horse racing at lone Star Park in Grand Prairie, TX, starts tonight.
- Handles (i.e. the amount of money wagered in the pari-mutuels on a race) should be fairly high. The amount in the pot to win is a function of how much total money is bet. Good crowd for opening night > lots of people betting = Decent sized betting pools.
- There’s some goober that impersonates Elvis who will be entertaining park-goers tonight. Apparently he’s supposed to be fairly good at it.
- butch thinks this horse racing is a great sport…and if you go, you’ll really enjoy it.

Is there a Rosetta Stone or phone app that translates Arlington speech to English?

One of my favorite customer appreciation events I got to attend was a crawfish boil & bbq at the Sam Houston horse track in Houston. Free beer and crawfish helped, but it is amazing how excited you can get over a horse race when you have $1.25 riding on it.

Horse races are exciting. You don't have to know anything about it, nor do you have to be a degenerate gambler to enjoy it. For about $20 you can wager on every race for the whole day.

I would go if I was closer, enjoy horse racing. Too far, and I avoid the metro mess at all cost if possible.
