Smitty’s BBQ in Lockhart.

It was okay. Ribs were pretty good but I didn’t care for the brisket. The potato salad was really good.

Vegetarian brisket?

Next time try Kreuz. It’s by far our favorite of the Lockhart BBQ Joints.

Speaking of "Lockhart BBQ," I went to Lockhart's in Plano off 15th street last night.
It blew!! Just terrible...

Why would anybody go to Lockhart and eat anywhere besides Kreuz or Blacks?

Because I was going to go to Blacks and about 3 people who have lived in Lockhart for 30 years told me to go to Smittys.

It’s the only one I will eat at.

The last time I went to Blacks it was extremely meh. I was not impressed at all.

Black's beef ribs are always the best food in the place for me.
Normally now we just stop in Chisholm BBQ on the way through. Its always good.

Get shoulder clod at Smitty's and/or pork chop (especially early in the day), ribs at Blacks or drive a little further to City Market. Chisholm trail for a chicken full meal deal with all the sides. Kreuz used to be better.

I've had great Brisket & ribs at all The Lockhart BBQ places, but I've also had some real misses at every one of them. That's why I usually just shoot through Lockhart and stop at City Market in Luling - their brisket has never let me down.
