OT: The TF Forum Pet Thread - 08/07/18 02:17 PM

Hey, fellas! I've created this thread for us to have a light-hearted chat, a discussion about our adorable household pets. This is our Pomeranian, Jake as we'd call him. When we're not out fishing, he'd watch TV with us in the living room, howl along to country songs, and even play catch in our backyard during my days off (though we had to secure one of those petsafe Stay+Play wireless dog fence, just so he wouldn’t stray far from our yard. Our neighbor had a weak wooden partition, and we once had an argument when poor Jake ended up on his lawn). Overall, he’s a very loving fella. What are your household critters, guys?[/color]

First day meeting Lucky after getting him out of a tree.

Little guy last year, always first one to come to dinner now, usually in daylight, always stays late expecting special treatment.

I see her in the distance every now and then but she got real spooky over the last 6 months.

Nice animals! This post makes me sad, but I'll get over it, eventually. I had to put my almost 16yr old best friend down yesterday. The vet said that it's been a very long time that he's seen a big breed last this long. Sadie would have been 16 in November. She had a very good, long, and healthy life.

agree that it isn't a very professional looking leash but it(and one of those metal posts you screw into the ground) was being used to train her from breaking and retrieving other peoples birds on a dove field....

It's all part of life. Too bad these precious, unconditional loving animals don't outlive us.....but we wouldn't want it that way. For as long as I had my dog, you'd think that I would still be balling like a Dan90210. But hey, the key is to remember the wonderful life that you provided for them. There will never be another dog like Sadie, for me anyways, but I also realize there is a grieving process that all folks with animals will have to go through, eventually. Everybody needs to share their pet pics, whether they are from the past or present. My sadness is not as great as it was the day of and day after. I'm regaining my strength again, and I may go get a bull mastiff or pit and take it down to play with all the other little doggies at the playpark, and try to make new friends with all the lady pet owners. Again, don't be sad because of my post. I'm just happy that she's running and playing, and frolicking about in Doggy Heaven. She's now very comfortable. Now, whose got a man eater for sale?
