So, this just happened

I went to get a car wash during lunch. Everything was going well until in the middle of the wash, the 2018 Mercedes CLA behind me hits me. In the dang middle of the wash I get out after and see that she hit my hitch and no damage. We talk and decide to go tell the boys in the shack. One comes out to see the damage and tells me that I hit the brake and it's my fault. I tell him that I didn't hit the brake and he tells me again that is the only way that could happen. I tell him that I would like for him to review the tape and after a while he calls us in to inform us that she must have put her car in gear and ran into me. The manager wasn't there so I guess we'll see what happens tomorrow. We exchanged info and can't wait to hear what the manager has to say. It didn't do anything to me, but her car has a tennis ball size dent which will need a new bumper.

I fail to see how it could be your fault in any way if you get rear ended by a car in the middle of a car wash. That’s a ridiculous conclusion to come to.

My brother-in-law got hit just like you described. Car behind him was in gear and hit him. He let the insurance companies fight it out.

Just the universe telling you to never wash your truck again.

The lesson here is. Get out and wash it your dang self you slacker.
