Raccoons

Raccoons - 03/06/18 03:37 AM

Bigger crowd tonight. Its only been two or three regulars for the last couple of months. Still haven't seen any of the foxes since around middle of November. I've been spending more time outside at night with the warmer weather and the raccoons are getting used to me again. For the last couple of months I've just thrown the cat food out and let them eat.

Lucky still hangs with them when there are only one or two around but when they start showing up like this he would rather be elsewhere. The other night I heard him scratching on the front door to get inside with a little raccoon right on his azz. Had to use my foot to keep the raccoon from coming inside as well.

Wild animals aren’t supposed to be fed by humans. I’m gonna stop my rant here.

Once the word gets around in the raccoon community, you will be overrun. They can get very aggressive as their numbers grow.

Looks neat...

News of new restaurants spreads quickly among the diners.

Hosts are always supposed to smile, so let us know if the smile fades over time. For now, feeding the hungry looks fun and charming.

Re: Raccoons - 03/06/18 11:22 PM

Obviously you don't have a deer feeder. cuz if you did you'd be like me and cross a double yellow center line just to run over one of the feeder destroying varmints.

Same here. We have about a 100 of those destructive buggers I would like to get rid of. The amount of damage they do is amazing.

You really need to knock that off. Five or six of them are fun to watch, but when you count 18 on your porch trying to get into birdseed in a steel container that is not meant for them, you will see how destructive they can become.

Yep, have one small possum that comes most nights. My cat, Lucky likes him better than the raccoons these days. I don't like him hanging out with the possum though. I chase it off when I see it that damn ugly azz animal.
